The Green IT Awards are a chance for the readers of Green IT Magazine to reward the outstanding environmental products, suppliers and projects of 2009, as well as highlight companies and teams that have made a significant contribution to improving the IT industry's environmental performance.
As pressure continues to grow on companies and individuals to act more responsibly with regard to the environment and the Earth's natural resources, and as increased Government legislation comes into effect, the Green IT Awards set out to become the benchmark by which IT companies are measured for environmental performance.
To reflect the growing significance of the Green IT sector, this year's ceremony will be hosted on Earth Day, the 22nd April 2010. Additionally, this year's awards ceremony will be attended by the Right Honorable Lord Hunt OBE, Minister of Energy from the Department of Energy and Climate Change. Hundreds of guests including vendors, distributors and information providers from around the industry, as well as trade press, will also attend the dinner and awards. The winning companies will be announced at the awards ceremony on the April 22nd at London Zoo, Regents Park, London.
