Next generation of technology 'to be powered by alternative energy'

The next-generation of technology that will be used in countries around the world is likely to be powered by alternative energy sources, it has been claimed.
According to Nigel Berman, managing director of Nigel's Eco Store, consumers can expect to be powering their iPods and mobile phones via solar energy.
Mr Berman did not offer any time frame for his predictions but he is convinced that in future cars will be run by either water power or by capturing the energy from the sun's rays.
Additionally, he suggested that there will be a trend away from computer-based hardware and towards software solutions that are used via the online.
"This will make the need for solar powered data centres more important," said Mr Berman.
Nigel's Eco Store is designed to meet the needs of people looking to save money and reduce their carbon footprint by buying more environmentally-friendly products.
