These Tear Lock Lids fit 8 oz Ecotainer Hot Drink Cups but unfortunately are NOT biodegradable or compostable. THEY ARE ALSO NOT A STOCK ITEM AND MAY TAKE LONGER TO DELIVER.
We agonised over whether to include these lids on our site as they are not biodegradable or compostable. We felt that to exclude them would reduce the functionality of the Ecotainer Hot Cups. Using non wood fibres as lid materials currently will not result in a safe solution as the heat vapour from the drink shrinks the lid and makes it unsafe. Rest assured we will keep our eyes open for a more eco friendly option...
