Sourcing less toxic, more recyclable components adds to the sustainable value of our high performance computers. Our latest desktop PCs, the BroadLeaf range are PVC and BFR free and come in an all aluminium chassis which is machined exclusively for VeryPC in Yorkshire. Reducing the total distance that a product has travelled, and therefore the associated carbon emissions, is a challenge that VeryPC take seriously. We rise to this challenge by building and sourcing from our partners and suppliers as locally as possible as often as possible. Final assembly takes place at our BREEAM certified factory in Sheffield, where we are proud to brand each of our computers with the locally produced sign of quality: the "Made In Sheffield®" mark.

Eco-Power Management and PecoBOO(TM)

The VeryPC Eco-Power Management (EPM) system creates a GreenPC by first cherry picking only the most efficient and highest quality components. EPMTM further refines the efficiency of each machine by testing and optimising the power supply before carefully streamlining the settings of each individual component. The final stage of EPM happens at the software level with the installation of our patent pending energy management application, PecoBOO(TM). PecoBOO uses your webcam and face detection to assess whether there is a user looking at the display or not. When you leave your desk, PecoBOO switches off the monitor. As soon as you return, PecoBOO turns the display back on, giving you instant energy savings with no interruption.
