Kyocera Mita has announced it has been awarded an environmental certification for all office products they manufacture in Europe and Africa

The office products company has announced it has been granted the global ISO 14001 standard. This standard shows that Kyocera Mita has met stringent standards for environmental best practise.

Kyocera's sales subsidiaries in 14 European countries and South Africa, have received certification with each office undertaking specific programmes of improvement that have been verified by third-part auditors.

They were analysed in respects of environmental impact, compliance with environmental legislation, waste reduction and the implementation of continuous improvement.

Kyocera's production plant in China has already received the ISO 14001 certification.

Tracey Rawling Church, marketing director of Kyocera Mita, said: "We are absolutely thrilled that our European and African subsidiaries have been awarded the ISO 14001 accreditation."

Kyocera recently launched a laser printer that is completely ozone-free. The FS-3900DN has a positive electrical charge applied directly to the printer rollers that don't harm the environment.
