Did you know?

Across the world one person in five has no access to safe drinking water. According to Waterwise each person in the UK currently uses about 150 litres of water every day. This has been rising by 1% a year since 1930. This increase in water use is unsustainable.

With increasing evidence that our climate is changing this could have implications for future demand and availability.

Environmental impact

Various fish, wetland birds and other wildlife rely on water sources that we use to source our water. When rivers and lakes dry up these species struggle to survive. Sources of food and breeding sites for wildlife can be lost and fish can die through lack of oxygen

It makes sense

A Responsible business will look to limit their water use to show that they are considered about water issues. However a business that is financial savvy will also see the benefits of reducing its water consumption. According to the Environment Agency if you are in the retail, hospitality or service sector you could save up to 50% of your water bill! By cutting down on water use considerable savings could be made both for the environment and your businesses pocket.
