This product has passed an assessment developed by Dr Jane Powell, an independent environmental scientist, Programme Manager and senior researcher at the Centre for Social and Economic Research on the Global Environment (CSERGE), School of Environmental Sciences, University of East Anglia. Recycled content and level of postconsumer recycled material within the product are highly important. Must be free from toxics and aromatic halogenous and volatile solvents. No chlorinated plastics are allowed. Refillability is a consideration. Forest stewardship is considered where there is an element of virgin paper. Recyclability and recycled packaging are also included within the assessment.
